Humble Beginnings

The 'Trail Trekking' blog site was first set up way back in July 2011, but it wasn't until September 2011 that I decided to start creating videos to go with the 'Trail Trekking' blog posts.  I had a little experience of video creating through earlier attempts at producing tutorial type videos for my 'Media Bandit' blog site which basically consisted of using free video capture software called 'CamStudio' to record what I did on-screen whilst dictating through a microphone; these videos were then edited slightly to then be saved and uploaded to 'YouTube' and the 'Media Bandit' blog site.  They weren't great but did what was intended.

The first 'Trail Trekking' video was created using free video maker software known as 'VideoPad Video Editor' from 'NCH Software'.  The video once completed was then uploaded to the 'YouTube' account I was using primarily at the time, the same account I'd also been using for my tutorial videos.  The first 'Trail Trekking' video entitled 'The Phoenix Rises' appeared on 'YouTube' on the 6th of October 2011 and has since seen a mere 27 views.

Later in time I re-edited this video and a few more as my experience grew.  Watch the updated version below.

I went on to create many videos as time progressed.  I also later combined all my videos for both my 'Trail Trekking' and 'Doorstep Discovery' projects together on one 'YouTube' page.

It wasn't long before I also gave 'Trail Trekking' and its sister project, 'Doorstep Discovery', their own pages on 'Facebook', and links to them can also be found there.
